Would it be possible to bring the Wintersday Gift Giver back for a few days? Say, until January 8th, when the Hat guy stops? I'm sure I'm not the only one sitting on a pile of candy cane shards and nothing to do with them. I went palying about with the rift warden, error 7'd and instead of logging back in, opted to quit for the night. When I cam back today, all the snow was still there, but the gift giver was gone.

I know tons of folks will say "tough noogies" or less polite things, but I figure if you don't ask, you are guarunteed not to get.

Well...you have had how many days to get rid of your Candy Cane Shards, and if you didn't do so already, it's really your own fault. Otherwise, save them for next year.

And if you say this is the post you didn't want to see, oh well, you chose to log off for the night instead of exchanging your candy canes. You knew the event was over and opted out of it. ANet doesn't owe you the chance to trade them in. Because they gave you more than ample time to do so.

If shards are still dropping (not logged on atm) then the NPC should be there too.

I'm thinking that we may yet see his return before too long.

I got 40 shards arfter the collector was removed from two rift warden quests (And the rift warden vanished too). So I didnt have any time to spend them.

But when I saw the update message I spent the 500 that i had prior to then.

Wow, these threads are appearing faster than Candy Cane Shards themselves. ANet's bound to do something with this soon, I'd hope.

Really. I say the shards can stop dropping and the collector can appear. It's about equality, not greed. The equality we had last year when the collector appeared all the way until the 8th.

The Rift Warden owes me 5 shards and 1,000 experience points!

After completing my last Snow quest I was mapped back to LA and no Warden! Now, let's see, with interest compounded daily for a year (waiting for the Rift Warden's return), that will be how many shards? Hmm ...

Yeah, ignore them, because it's basically people being too lazy to add their voice to an already ongoing thread.

I was IN the wintersday quest The Strength of Snow when the npc's disappeared. Not only could I not trade in my 200 candy cane shards, but I could not get the reward for the quest either.

Hell yes bring back the collectors; there is absolutely no reason why the collectors could not stay some days after the event.

Then again, this entire event was the weakest since GW started, with server crash, rollback, insane lag, ugly hats, and rehashed quests, so I guess it's only fitting that ANet ended it like they'd run it.
